Amanda Simpson


Amanda graduated cum laude from Cameron University where she received her B.A. in English and a minor in History. Next, she attended Baylor School of Law where she participated in the Dawson & Sodd, P.C. Moot Court Competition and finished as a quarterfinalist. During law school, she also worked as a summer clerk at an estate planning boutique firm in Rockwall, Texas. Here she drafted pleadings and memos, and also co-authored an article published in an issue of the Dallas Bar Association’s Headnotes.

After graduation, Amanda served as Second Chair trial counsel for Plaintiff in a successful real estate DTPA and fraud case. She also worked on both plaintiff and defense cases in oil and gas, real estate and personal injury litigation. For the past three years, she worked as an associate attorney in Corpus Christi and focused on medical malpractice and insurance defense claims. Since the beginning of 2012, she has represented more than 20 physicians, nurses and physician extenders in front of the Texas Medical Board with no public reprimands or loss of physician licenses.

Outside of work, Amanda takes pride in being a mother to her two children, loves Jane Austen Novels, and competed as an equestrian in dressage. She was also an Army brat, so she’s seen her fair share of the world after living in countries such as Canada, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates.
