Keron attended the University of Houston where he earned his B.A. in Corporate Communications with a minor in economics. He graduated from Washburn University School of Law with Dean’s Honors and finished in the top 18 percent of his class.
After graduation, Keron served as a federal judicial law clerk in the offices of the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. He managed a case load of 30-40 cases on legal matters ranging from intellectual property, labor and employment, administrative law, consumer law, criminal law, constitutional law and other civil matters. Keron played a key role in preparation for trial and was responsible for drafting pretrial orders and court related pleadings, including orders on motions in limine and jury instructions.
Before moving to Dallas, Keron worked as an associate at Husch Blackwell in Kansas City, where he prosecuted and defended creditors in preference actions under Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. After relocating to Dallas, Keron worked for a large firm where he defended financial institutions in federal and state court against allegations of fraud and violations of RESPA, TILA, FCRA, FDCPA, the Texas Constitution, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, the Texas Finance Code, and other state and federal consumer protection laws. He also served as the lead associate in drafting appellate briefs before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Keron’s practice focuses primarily on commercial and consumer litigation, but he dedicates the same talent and energy to each of his practice areas. He is currently a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the JL Turner Legal Association, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Keron’s involvement in the legal community, his dedication to clients and his passion for the job, make him a valuable asset to the firm.
